DataCall Systems Telephony Services

DataCall offers data collection services using a combination of the telephone, email and web site resources. Telephony allows for the collection for small set of data using any telephone or computer with telephony software like Skype or X-Lite. Alternative collection methods via web sites complements the telephone approach. Email contacts allow managers to access reports.

Fuel Type Reporting for the Federal Government

The U.S. Federal Government requires the reporting of  the type of fuel purchased for non-tactical vehicles on a close to real-time basis. Each vehicle has a custodian who manages the activities of the vehicle.

  • For custodians that don't have reservations systems that collect fuel usage the solution is to collect the usage via telephone. The vehicle operator calls a toll-free number after pumping and reports the type of fuel and amount..
  • For custodians with other means of collecting the information a web site is provided to receive the information.

Management of this process for thousands of vehicles requires the use of the email contact system. Each custodian, area manager and fleet manager receives periodic emails with links to status and progress reports. These links point to pages on the web site and can be accessed directly when necessary.

Telephony Based Surveys

In cooperation with Chesapeake Data Systems, a survey data collection firm, we are now offering telephony based surveys. The marriage of survey technology and telephony allows for the rapid information flow from telephones into databases and on to management. Telephony surveys normally have fewer questions than other formats because of the concentration needed by the callers. The survey results are stored in databases and reports are sent to management via email.
